Press Release: Seeking Witnesses to Felony Hit and Run

SUSPECT VEH: Dark color sedan, possibly a 90’s model Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable
On July 8, 2019, at approximately 8:51 P.M., Milpitas Police and Milpitas Fire personnel responded to a report of a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian victim on E. Calaveras Blvd. at Highway 680.
The victim, a 31 year-old male, was walking westbound on the south sidewalk of E. Calaveras Boulevard. While crossing the transition road from northbound 680 to westbound E. Calaveras Boulevard, a dark color sedan exiting northbound 680 to eastbound E. Calaveras Boulevard struck the pedestrian at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle, possibly a 90’s model Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, fled the scene. The pedestrian sustained major injuries. The suspect vehicle may have damage to the right front fender area.
The Milpitas Police Department is actively investigating the incident and is currently seeking witnesses.
