The National Weather Service in The Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Wright County in central Minnesota... Northwestern Anoka County in east central Minnesota... Southeastern Sherburne County in central Minnesota...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 711 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Big Lake, or 15 miles northeast of Buffalo, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Ramsey, Elk River, St. Michael, Otsego, Monticello, Big Lake, St. Francis, Albertville, Zimmerman, Nowthen and Orrock. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 10 in Minnesota between mile markers 199 and 217. U.S. Highway 169 between mile markers 159 and 167.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SHERBURNE, MN ... ANOKA, MN ... WRIGHT, MN

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from windows.
