Two suspects arrested for multiple residential burglaries and theft

On July 16, 2019 at approximately 4:54 am, Los Altos Police responded to the report of a residential burglary that had just occurred in the 500 block of Lassen Street. A witness reported seeing the crime occur and immediately contacted the Los Altos Police Department to provide a description of the suspects and the suspect vehicle.

A patrol officer located the suspect vehicle, a maroon/burgundy Chevrolet Tahoe, and conducted an enforcement stop near the intersection of Foothill Expressway and Magdalena Avenue in Los Altos. The vehicle was occupied by Jose Mora-Villalobos and Rosa Arellano. A search of the interior of the vehicle resulted in discovery of stolen property from three residential burglaries/thefts that had just occurred in Los Altos (Los Altos Case #: 19-0815, 19-0821 and 19-0847) and at Foothill College (Foothill-DeAnza Case #: F019-0196). The suspects were also found to be in possession of burglary tools and a controlled substance.

Officers arrested suspect Jose Mora-Villalobos and suspect Rosa Arellano for Burglary (felony) – 459 PC, Possession of Burglary Tools (misdemeanor) – 466 PC and Possession of Controlled Substance – 11377 HS. The two suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for the above listed violations.
