Glendora Police Department National Night Out Against Crime event, Tuesday, August 6th, NEW LOCATION! Finkbiner Park!
Join the Glendora Police Department in celebrating the 36th Annual “National Night Out Against Crime” event which will take place on Tuesday, August 6.th This Free event has a brand new location; please join us at Finkbiner Park at the shade structure at 160 N. Wabash from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The entire community is invited to join us before the park festivities for a “Solidarity Walk Against Crime” that begins at 5 pm at the front steps of the Glendora Police Department. We will walk together to the park, signifying to the community that we stand together against crime and will do our best to help prevent it by joining Neighborhood Watch Programs and by looking out for each other. When we reach the park everyone can enjoy free hot dogs, play games, kids face painting and more. This will be your last opportunity to donate to the “Pack a Police Car” program, where you can donate school supplies for K-8 kids who attend Glendora schools. Bring your families, neighbors and friends and join us for a night of fun.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anticrime programs as well as sends a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Residents throughout Glendora and across the nation are asked to turn on their porch lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement to help build stronger police-partnerships and neighborhood unity in our fight for a safer community.
