On Thursday August 01, 2019 the Absecon Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country which struck and killed a 42 year-old pedestrian. The victim was identified as Emilio Portillo-Sanchez of Lindenwold, NJ. The crash occurred on US 30 westbound in the area of Mill Road. Westbound traffic on US 30 was reduced to one lane by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) for approximately four hours. The incident is being investigated by the Absecon Police Department with assistance from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
