Dense Fog Advisory until 09:00AM

...Dense Fog Across the North This Morning and Hot in the Afternoon... The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.

* VISIBILITY...will be one quarter of a mile or less at times through 9 am.

* IMPACTS...of the reduced visibilities may make travel hazardous.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ETOWAH ... ST. CLAIR ... CHEROKEE ... BLOUNT ... CALHOUN

Instructions:

* TEMPERATURE...will range from 93 to 97 this afternoon with heat index values in the advisory between 105 and 107. A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to a quarter mile or less. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
