Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and an additional 1 to 2 inches will be possible today. Localized flash flooding may develop if rain rates increase. Lightning Creek near McCune, KS has just risen above flood stage.
* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially susceptible to the dangers of flooding. Locations in the warning include... Pittsburg... Fort Scott... Baxter Springs... Frontenac... Columbus... Galena... Girard... Arma... Marmaton... Cherokee... Weir... Lowell... Sherman... Mulberry... Scammon... Chicopee... Mccune... Franklin... Bronson... Arcadia...
