Heavy rainfall occurred across extreme southeast Kansas last night into this morning. Rain gauges and radar estimates of up to 2 to 3 inches. While lingering light rain showers are expected for the remainder of the afternoon, ongoing flooding of low water crossings, streams, and low lying areas is expected to continue. Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially susceptible to the dangers of flooding. Locations in the warning include... Pittsburg... Fort Scott... Baxter Springs... Frontenac... Columbus... Galena... Girard... Arma... Marmaton... Cherokee... Weir... Lowell... Sherman... Mulberry... Scammon... Chicopee... Mccune... Franklin... Bronson... Arcadia... This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water crossings... Highway 31 at Little Osage River 5 miles west of Fulton.
