NICHOLAS BAEZ, a 25 year old Lafayette Indiana resident, was arraigned and formally charged today for the brutal assault on a 47 year old female victim which occurred in the 19000 block of Eastwood on August 03, 2019. The female victim sustained severe injury to her head and face but is expected to survive. The victim is recovering in a local hospital.
On August 09, 2019 NICHOLAS BAEZ was arraigned and formally charged in 32-A District Court in front of the Honorable Judge Daniel S. Palmer with the following:
Count 1: Assault With Intent To Murder
Count 2: Assault With Intent To Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder
Count 3: Police Officer-Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing
Count 4: Police Officer-Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing
Count 5: Assault-Aggravated
BAEZ was given a $500,000.00 cash bond and has a Preliminary Examination scheduled for August 28, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in 32-A District Court.
