HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT:
Class I and Class II Special Officers for Summer of 2020
Borough of Deal Police Department


Class II Special Officers:
The Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Class II Special Officer for the 2020 summer season. Applicants are required to be a U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age or older, hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be a resident of New Jersey during the appointment term. Applicants must have a good reputation and be of sound moral character, possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, and undergo a complete background investigation. Those selected for hiring/training will also need to pass a drug screening and psychological evaluation. SLEO II certification is not required to apply for this position.
Interested applicants must submit an application, current resume, and the appropriate certifications (if applicable) to Sergeant Brian Egan no later than September 15, 2019 at 12:00 hours. Applications must be picked up in person at Deal Police Headquarters; 190 Norwood Avenue, Deal, NJ 07723.
