The annual Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show will take place this weekend, August 17th & 18th.
There are a number of changes this year that will impact vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The remote parking at Philhaven field that utilized shuttle buses to transport visitors to the show has been eliminated. All parking will now be in Mount Gretna at the field areas along Timber Road.
State Route 117 will be closed completely (except for emergency vehicles) between 6:00 AM, Friday, August 16th, and 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 18th. The complete closure will be the section of SR 117 between Timber Road on the east end, and Pennsylvania Avenue on the west end.
During the hours the show is open, SR 117 will be closed to eastbound traffic at the Colebrook intersection. The road will be open for westbound traffic exiting the parking fields via Lakeview Drive.
Vehicles traveling to the show from the west should get on Mine Road
at Colebrook, follow it to Butler Road, then to SR 117 to the parking fields; or travel SR 322 to Butler Road to SR 117 into Mount Gretna.
Vehicles traveling to the show from the east should take SR 117 into Mount Gretna, then to the parking fields.
All detours and routes into and around Mount Gretna will be adequately signed. Police officers from Cornwall Borough and South Londonderry Township, in addition to Fire Police personnel, will be stationed at various locations along the detour route and in Mount Gretna to provide traffic control along with parking and pedestrian assistance.
