Hudson County has informed the City of Hoboken that it will begin construction at Columbus Park (Clinton Street between 9th and 10th Street) starting Monday, August 19. Hudson County will be repaving the walkways, which will require heavy equipment and periodic closures of the park and playground. The construction is anticipated to last approximately two weeks. 15th Annual Spaghetti Dinner
As a reminder, Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla invites residents to the 15th annual Spaghetti Dinner Block Party on Thursday, August 29 from 5-8 pm along the waterfront walkway on Sinatra Drive between 1st and 2nd Streets. The evening will feature a musical performance and a dinner of four types of pasta, salad, meatballs, sausage, eggplant, assorted breads, Italian pastries, and cookies. Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available at an additional charge with proceeds of the beverage sales going to support the Hoboken Ambulance Corps.
Seating is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance at www.Hobokennj.org/register OR at the Cultural Affairs Office on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 94 Washington Street. Friday, August 23 is the last date to purchase tickets.
