Arrest following Domestic Dispute at local business. (click on blue link for details) 
On Tuesday August 13, 2019 Officers with the Marion Police Department responded to Bojangles (2569 Sugar Hill Road Marion), in reference to a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. Upon their arrival the victim informed officers that the male party Corey Bartlett (28yoa), had left the business. After speaking with the victim, it was determined that Bartlett had made threats to her and to the business.
Officers were informed that Bartlett had traveled to his residence (28 Morgan Road). Officers with the Marion Police Department and the McDowell County Sheriff's Office went to the home and located Bartlett.
After receiving consent to search Bartlett’s vehicle, officers located a rifle with ammunition in the trunk of the vehicle Bartlett had driven to the business. Bartlett was served with warrants for Communicating Threats and Misdemeanor Child Abuse. Bartlett was placed into the custody of the McDowell County Jail under a Domestic forty-eight hour hold. Bartlett will make his bond appearance in court on August 14, 2019.
The Marion Police Department is continuing their investigation into this matter. No further information is being released at this time.
