WATER IS OFF CITY-WIDE ——
CITY-WIDE BOIL ORDER TO FOLLOW
Ashmore has been finishing up a project where water mains are being replaced. As part of this process, a crew was boring underneath roads in order to hook homes up to the new line.
Another water main, which runs along this project route, and which feeds the water tower from the water plant, has been hit by the boring drill. The water tower has been drained as a result, and water service throughout town is currently off.
Village crews are working as quickly as possible to fix it, and when service resumes there will be a city wide boil order for at least 24 hours.
Please avoid S Iowa St and S Oakland Rd. Please limit your phone inquiries to Village officials as they are trying to make repairs. For emergency situations, please call 911.

Avoid both S. Iowa St. and S. Oakland Rd. When water service resumes, a boil order will be in effect for at least 24 hours. Please notify elderly neighbors and those without social media.
