Attention Rutgers Community:
The New Brunswick City Police Department (NBPD) is investigating a robbery which was reported to have occurred on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at approximately 8:50 PM. The incident was report to have occurred in the area of the intersection of Easton Avenue and Hamilton Street in the City of New Brunswick. In this incident the victim reported being struck with a blunt object while an item of value was taken. The victim, who is not affiliated with Rutgers University, was not injured seriously injured during this incident.
A description of the perpetrator is limited at this time.
The New Brunswick Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact that agency’s Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.

• Immediately reporting suspicious activity to local law enforcement;
• Remaining alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you;
• Avoid isolated or dark areas;

The escorts provide our community with personalized service to their vehicles, campus residence, or the University's mass transit system.
