Starting Sunday, August 18, 2019, employees of the 2020 decennial U.S. Census Bureau will be going door to door in order to verify and get GPS locations of each residential address in the United States. These are not solicitations. This is one of the ways the country gets an accurate count of our population and where we live. Data collected in the decennial Census determines things such as how many U.S. Congressional Districts are allocated to each state, as well as how governments distribute money to cities, towns, states and tribes.
