Palmdale Carjacking Suspects Apprehended 
On 08-19-19, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Palmdale Station deputies responded to the 38000 block of 20th Street East in Palmdale regarding an armed carjacking. Responding deputies were advised by the victim that two male suspects dressed in dark clothing and armed with a silver semiautomatic handgun stole his 1991 Honda Accord and drove southbound on 20th St E.
Approximately one hour later, Palmdale deputies located the stolen Honda Accord driving southbound on 20th St E. Almost immediately, the suspects abandoned the vehicle in a driveway on 20th Street East, and fled on foot in opposite directions, north and south.
A large containment was immediately set up, between 20th Street East/Avenue R-4, and 17th Street East/Avenue R-8.
With an LASD airship and Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) K-9 unit on scene to assist, search efforts located both suspects within the containment and they were arrested without incident.
An article search was conducted, but the firearm was not located and is still outstanding. Both suspects were identified as 14 year old male juveniles.
The subjects were detained at Palmdale Sheriff Station and charged with carjacking 215(a) PC.
This is an ongoing investigation. There are no further details at this time.
