Update:
Based upon preliminary investigations of the domestic assault from Silverdale Cv., it appears the female's injuries were self-inflicted. Again, the investigation is ongoing.
Domestic Assault
At approximately 9:30 this morning, August 21st, officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to 75 Silverdale Cv. for a report of a domestic assault. Officers responding to the scene located an elderly male complaining of an injury to his hip and a female suffering with an apparent severe abdominal injury caused by a knife that was protruding from her stomach. The female was airlifted to Memphis.
Investigators from the the investigations division are on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
