Press Release: Travel Agent Theft - House of Aloha Hawaii

On August 8, 2019, a resident of Milpitas contacted the Milpitas Police Department regarding the House of Aloha Hawaii travel business based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The resident had paid the House of Aloha Hawaii for travel services, but they did not receive the services they purchased. Officers investigated further and identified twelve additional victims who conducted business with the House of Aloha Hawaii.
The Milpitas Police Department has been in contact with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, the California Department of Justice Seller of Travel Program, and the Honolulu Police Department regarding this investigation. The Milpitas Police Department referred this investigation to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office for a criminal complaint against House of Aloha Hawaii for theft by false pretenses and failure to provide travel services as promised.
The Milpitas Police Department believes there are additional Milpitas residents that have paid the House of Aloha Hawaii for travel services, which were either not delivered or partially delivered.
