As a part of the Mathilda Avenue Improvement at SR237 and US101 Project, the US 101 North loop off-ramp to Mathilda Avenue South will close permanently on Friday, August 23, 2019.
All drivers wishing to access Mathilda Avenue will use one exit. The new off-ramp (Exit 396 A) will have a traffic signal at Mathilda Avenue allowing motorists to make left and right turns, providing access to both the northbound and southbound directions.
The traffic shift will begin Thursday night, and the new off-ramp will open Friday morning, before the a.m. commute. Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will be in place reminding drivers of the closure and the new route of travel.
