On August 23, 2019 at 10:03 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop of a 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Jose Guadulape Lopez, age 32, of Willow Run Drive, Forest City, NC. Lopez was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which was stopped at Pine Street and Heritage Avenue, Forest City, NC. A search of Lopez and his vehicle resulted in the seizure of 2.9 grams of Heroin, 2 dosage units of Oxycodone, .4 grams of marijuana, digital scales and $137.00 in currency. Lopez was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sale and deliver Heroin, possession of schedule II, possession of schedule VI, possession of drug paraphernalia and he was also served with the show cause order. Lopez received an $8,000 secured bond.
On August 26, 2019, at 4:20 am, officers conducted a traffic stop of a 2002 BMW 330 CI driven by Shawn Patrick James, age 29, of age of Littlejohn Circle, Shelby, NC. The vehicle was occupied by April Leann Haynes, age 27, of Greenwood Street, Forest City, NC. The traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Clay Street. A search resulted in the seizure of 5.1 grams of Heroin, 1.8 grams of Methamphetamine, 1 dosage unit of donazepam, digital scales and other paraphernalia. James was arrested and charged with trafficking Heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver of Methamphetamine, possession of schedule IV and possession of drug paraphernalia. James received a $25,500 secured bond.
