Boat Deputies save the life of a man who fell overboard 
On Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 5:00 pm, Boat Deputies from Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station responded to an emergency call of a person who fell overboard about a mile offshore.
Boat Operator Deputy Ryan Campbell and Boat Operator Deputy Jay Maeda found this person in the water and saved his life by pulling him out of the water and treating him for exhaustion and hypothermia as they took him to the docks at Marina del Rey Sheriff’s station where they handed him off to waiting ambulance and fire department crews.
We are glad to report that this boater has made a full recovery and will live to boat again. Way to go Deputy Campbell and Deputy Maeda! Saving lives!
