Jacob Veltkamp sworn in as newest Ripon Police Department Officer 
Today, Jacob Veltkamp joined the ranks of the Ripon Police Department as our newest Police Officer. Jacob has been a Police Explorer with our department since 2017. He graduated from San Joaquin Delta College POST academy last week. Officer Veltkamp will immediately begin our field training program. The addition of Officer Veltkamp brings the department to full staffing levels. The Ripon Police Department has a proud tradition of hiring officers who have participated in our explorer program, which provides experience and valuable knowledge to those individuals seeking law enforcement careers.
