Community Suicide Prevention Training Thursday, Sept 5, 2019, 6:00 PM 8:00 PM at 410 West “D” Street, Tehachapi, CA

Kern Behavioral Health & Recovery Services and Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley invite the community to attend a free suicide prevention training Sept. 5 2019.

QPR training is intended to educate those in a position to recognize the warning signs, clues and suicidal communications of people in trouble to offer hope and act with vigorous positive action to prevent a possible tragedy in three simple steps. The skills you learn here may save a life.

This training is free and open to the public.

QPR Training Includes:
• National and California statistics
• Common suicide myths and facts
• Warning signs of suicide
• Tips for asking the suicide question
• Methods for persuading suicidal individuals to get help
• How to refer at-risk persons for assistance
• Question & answer forum
• All necessary materials
