Precautionary Incident Investigated at the Arroyo Grande High School 
On Friday, August 30, 2019, Arroyo Grande High School administrators requested assistance from the Arroyo Grande Police Department regarding an alleged school safety incident at the high school. Patrol officers responded to assist the School Resource Officer (SRO) and school officials in conducting an investigation.
The school continued its normal operations. As a result of the investigation it was determined there was no concern for the safety of the school, or any of its students, in relation to this reported incident.
Following this investigation, there was a fire alarm activated and it was determined to be the result of over cooked food emitting smoke, which activated the alarm system.
