CORRECTION: This incident was not caused by PG&E. It occurred during scheduled BART replacement work by. a contractor for BART. PG&E is on site repairing their lines.
Work continues at this time.

CHP onscene and will be monitoring. City streets will be heavly impacted.
HWY 24 will be completely closed for 30 minute intervals then will completely open for one hour and the closure will take place again until the emergency work is completed.
