On Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 3:16pm Absecon Patrol units took a report of stolen hanging flower pots from a neighborhood off of N. Shore Rd. The victim reported that the accused was captured on his home surveillance system at 3:04am that morning and provided the footage to patrol. The accused was positively identified as Jimmie E. Anderson of Absecon.

On Monday, September 2, 2019 Absecon Detectives responded to Mr. Anderson’s residence to speak with him in regards to the theft. In plain view several other theft proceeds, including potted plants and lawn statues were located within the yard. Property identified from previous reported theft cases and items believed to have been stolen were confiscated pending further investigation. Anyone who has experienced a plant theft is asked to contact the police department to possibly locate their property within the confiscated items. Mr. Anderson was taken into custody and charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Mr. Anderson was released with a pending court date.
