Enforcement results from ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign
As part of state & national efforts to help keep roadways safe for all travelers, Middleton Police officers made three OWI arrests during the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign between August 16 & Labor Day (September 2, 2019).
Officers spent 22 hours enforcing impaired driving & made 38 enforcement stops, issuing 20 warnings & 14 citations. While the focus of the initiative was to deter impaired driving, officers also issued citations & made arrests during traffic stops for the following:
2 Speeding Violations
4 Operating after Revocation or Suspension Violations
1 Traffic Sign or Traffic Light Violations
3 Drug Arrests
2 Misdemeanor Arrests
1 Warrant Arrest
The arrests were for Possession with Intent to Deliver MDMA, Possession of Heroin, Possession of GHB, Bail Jumping & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
"The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign lasted about two weeks, but our officers work throughout the year to help make our roadways & communities as safe as possible for everyone,” Sergeant Jessica Quamme said.
