SB Fire Update - Saddle Butte evacuation order cancelled at 8pm tonight 9/3. Residents can return home at 8pm on 9/3.
09/03/2019 3:30 pm - Saddle Butte Fire Update
- Saddle Butte Subdivision will be removed from the "GO!" evacuation order stage as of 9/3/19 at 8:00pm.
- Residents and those performing work in the Saddle Butte Subdivision will be allowed to return at 8:00pm on 9/3/19. This is a private road, and local traffic only will be allowed.
- Please do not line up at Saddle Butte Drive before 8:00pm. This will impact firefighters' ability to complete necessary work today and will delay reentry to Saddle Butte.
- Those that are returning home may be going back to areas that have been burned over. Visit https://www.readyforwildfire.org/post-wildfire/after-a-wildfire/ for information on returning home after a wildfire.
- This is an active incident, and fire crews are still working in the area, so please use caution and drive slowly.
There are no further updates planned for today 9/3/19.
09/03/2019 10:45 am - Saddle Butte Fire Update
- No new fire growth since end of shift 9/2/19. Size remains at 255 acres with approximately 60% containment.
- Mop-up operations with firefighters searching for and extinguishing hot spots continues throughout the day.
- Roughly 100 personnel are currently assigned to this fire.
- "GO!" evacuation order stage remains in effect for the Saddle Butte Subdivision.
