Synopsis: A 22 year old white female was riding on a white mountain bike E/B in the bike lane of 4400 Eastgate Mall Rd. When she got to the intersection of Easter Way she veered to the left into the crosswalk to ride N/B. She turned in front of E/B vehicles who had a green light. She was struck by a black 2016 Honda Pilot, being driven by a 36 year old Filipino female. The Honda pilot was traveling in the E-1 lane at the time of the collision. The bicyclist sustained serious life threatening injuries. She was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. SDPD Traffic Officers and Traffic Division Detectives responded to the scene to investigate the collision. Drugs or alcohol are not considered a factor in this incident.
