Oakland City man arrested on battery charge. 
On September 6, 2019, at 4:09 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the 12000 block of East 100 South in the Oakland City area. Upon arriving at the residence Deputy Jennifer Loesch began an investigation into the incident. At the conclusion of her investigation 31 year old Kyle Dougan of Oakland City was placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Mr. Dougan was charged with battery in the presence of a child. He has since posted a $750 bond.
Assisting Deputy Loesch in her investigation was Captain Bryan Ellis and Sergeant Bryan Small of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office as well as Chief Tim Gaines and Officer Michael McGregor of the Oakland City Police Department.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
