On September 9, 2019 at 3:55p.m., deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash involving a 2010 Dodge Charger and a 2019 Mack Dump truck on W CTH B at N. Coon Island Rd. in the Town of Magnolia. Footville, Orfordville, Janesville Fire/EMS, a Wisconsin State Patrol Inspector and a Wisconsin State Patrol Reconstruction Team responded to the crash.

Investigation shows the Dodge Charger was driven by a 29-year-old woman from Evansville, Wisconsin and the Mack dump truck was operated by a 42-year-old male from Beloit, Wisconsin. The Dodge Charger was traveling south on N. Coon Island Rd. and failed to stop at a stop sign at W CTH B. The Dodge Charger struck the loaded Mack dump truck that was westbound on W CTH B. The driver of the Dodge Charger and a 5-year-old male passenger of the same vehicle were ejected. A 2-month-old female passenger of the Dodge Charger was also in the vehicle, but sustained no injuries.

The driver of the Charger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 5-year-old male passenger was transported with critical injuries. The driver of the Mack dump truck did not sustain any injuries.

W CTH B and N. Coon Island Rd. were closed to traffic for approximately seven hours while emergency personnel secured the scene.
