BURNING ODOR FROM DELTA TOWNSHIP, OHIO FIRE.

A large fire is burning at a scrap yard in Delta Township, Ohio since Monday evening. The fire is expected to burn for several days. Due to wind direction, a burning odor has been detected around the Village. According to fire personnel on the fire scene, there is no indication that the odor is toxic at this time. While we have not received any health-related complaints and out of an abundance of caution, the Blissfield Police Department has requested air quality testing to ensure that there is no danger to the public.

Instructions:

If you suspect that a building may be on fire, do not hesitate to call 911. If you have breathing related issues, please self-monitor and take appropriate action as you may deem necessary. Please report any issues to the Blissfield Police Department at 517-486-4340. If the matter is an emergency, residents are reminded to call 911.
