Motorcycle Collision at Monterey Rd and Tennant Ave
On September 11th, at approximately 1:45 p.m. Morgan Hill Police responded to the intersection of Monterey Rd and Tennant Ave on report of a motorcycle collision with major injuries.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the involved vehicles and a male subject in the intersection. The male subject had significant injuries and was unresponsive. Morgan Hill Police officers along with members of the Morgan Hill Fire Department began rescue efforts. EMS personnel transported the motorcyclist to Valley Medical Center. The identity of the 38 year old Hollister resident is being withheld until notifications are made.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Officers observed no signs of driving while under the influence. Prior to the collision, witnesses observed the motorcyclist traveling southbound on Monterey Rd at a high rate of speed. MHPD officers later determined the motorcyclist was riding a stolen motorcycle. MHPD Traffic Unit responded to the collision and are investigating the collision.
