NOTICE: Special Event Notification
EVENT DATE: September 15, 2019
EVENT: Clo-Cow Half Marathon
LOCATION: Downtown Petaluma
ROAD CLOSURES: 3:00 am – 12:30 pm

Summary:

The 9th annual Clo Cow Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Downtown Petaluma. The Half Marathon features a 13.1 mile out-and-back course, starting and ending in Downtown Petaluma. In addition to the 13.1 mile course, there will also be a 5K and a newly added 10K option available on the same course route. Road closures will be in effect before, during and after the event. The road closures have been requested to enhance the safety of participants and spectators. The event is scheduled to start at 7:00 AM and ends at approximately 11:00 AM. Road closures will take effect starting at 3:00 AM until 12:30 PM.

Road closures and times will include:
1. Kentucky St/4th St (Between B St and Western Ave)- 3:00 am – 12:30 pm
2. Western Ave. (Between Keller St and Kentucky St)- 6:30 am - 11:00 am
3. Rolling temporary closures with the assistance of PPD and CHP Officers along Western Ave for the start of the races.

No parking locations and times:
1. Kentucky St/4th St (Between B St and Western Ave)- 3:00 am – 12:30 pm
2. A St Parking Lot- 3:00 am – 12:30 pm
3. Western Ave (Westbound from Kentucky St to Webster St)- 5:00 am- 8:00 am
4. Western Ave (Eastbound from Webster St to Kentucky St)- 5:00 am – 11:00 am

The Petaluma Police Department and the California Highway Patrol will be working this event to reasonably accommodate any traffic related issues. The Petaluma Police appreciates the public’s patience and requests those who cannot avoid the area to allow plenty of time for travel.
