SCV Sheriff's hosting Drug Take Back Day on Friday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station will be hosting a Drug Take Back Day on Friday, September 13, 2019, between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Community members are urged to drop off unwanted medications* at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, located at 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, during the take back event. This free service allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications and also addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. Over-the-counter medications will be accepted for disposal as well.
Bringing expired or unwanted prescription drugs to the collection site eliminates the potential for misuse, abuse or accidental poisoning. Improper disposal of medications, such as flushing them down a toilet or throwing them in the trash, can be hazardous to public safety, public health and the environment.
*Please note, we cannot accept liquids at this take back event.
