Residents of Denville,

The Denville Police Department was made aware by the US Postal Police that the blue mailbox outside of the Denville Post Office, located on Clark Street, was compromised between Sept. 14th at 3:30 pm and Sept. 16 at 9:00 am. Specifically, the mail located inside of the mailbox was taken by unknown actor(s). The US Postal Police is currently investigating the matter. Anyone who placed mail in this outside mailbox between these hours and mailed any items that were financially related (i.e. checks, credit card paperwork, etc.), please check your banking/credit card companies for any fraudulent activities. If you discover that you have any fraudulent activity on any of your accounts and that you were a victim of this crime, please contact the Denville Police Department to file a report.
