Road repair Blackwater RD at Laurel Lane no thru traffic seek alternate routes 
City of Somersworth Announcement
City of Somersworth Highway crews are planning to be on Blackwater Road between Laurel Lane and Old Rochester Road Thursday morning (September 19) to restore the trench patch from a water main break that occurred a few weeks ago. Crews will be removing the temporary patch material and replacing it with a permanent hot mix asphalt. To accommodate the repair work in safe manner, a portion of Blackwater Road at the trench area will be closed temporarily. Traffic will be detoured from the west end of Blackwater Road to Laurel Lane; then Laurel Lane to Blackwater Road. Highway personnel will place barricades and traffic detour signage in the area to guide traffic during this time. It is anticipated the detour will be in effect from approximately 7:30 am to approximately 9:30am.
