Flood Warning until 08:30AM Sunday

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Flood Warning for Small Streams in... Wells County in south central North Dakota... Sheridan County in south central North Dakota... Northern Kidder County in south central North Dakota... Southeastern McLean County in south central North Dakota... Northern Burleigh County in south central North Dakota... Foster County in southeastern North Dakota... Northern Stutsman County in southeastern North Dakota...

* Until 830 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 828 AM CDT, Doppler radar estimates and observed rainfall reports indicate that the heavy rain that fell yesterday afternoon through early this morning is causing flooding of creeks and streams, and low water crossings. A portion of Highway 200 in southern Wells county has been closed due to high water. Additional county and rural roads may still have high water and may not yet have proper signage. Do not attempt to cross a flooded roadway.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jamestown, Carrington, Harvey, Mcclusky, Wilton, Fessenden, Wing, Goodrich, Mercer, Glenfield, Spiritwood Lake, Hurdsfield, Tuttle, Martin and Pettibone.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BURLEIGH, ND ... MCLEAN, ND ... STUTSMAN, ND ... SHERIDAN, ND ... WELLS, ND ... FOSTER, ND ... KIDDER, ND

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
