Brush Fire Millard Canyon 
A brush fire was reported at 3:30 pm on the Mt. Lowe Truck Trail just east of Millard Campground. Units from Los Angeles County Fire and Sheriff’s Departments Pasadena Fire Department, Altadena Mountain Rescue Team and United States Forest Service responded. Fire department ground units and aircraft helicopters, fixed wing including two Super Scoopers battled the fire which was reported at several acres moving uphill. Sheriff’s units along with search and rescue members began to voluntarily evacuate neighborhoods along the foothills and drive hikers off the mountainside.
The following areas are closed until at least Wednesday 09/25/19:
Millard Campground
Mt. Lowe Truck Trail
Chaney Trail
Sunset Ridge Trail
Sections of Altadena Crest Trail
As of 10:00pm the fire is 40% contained with approximately 10 1/2 acres burned, with the fire area all in USFS area. The cause of the fire has not been determined and USFS investigations are on scene. No injuries have been reported.
