Attempted Vehicle Theft and Burglary

OFFICERS INVOLVED: Police Officers Zachary Rhein, James Woodley, James Stephens, Detectives Jesse Orbach and Christopher Brady.
ACCUSED: Isiah Matheo 21 year old Male / Ocean Township, NJ
NARRATIVE:
Ocean Township police officers were dispatched to 17 Cindy Lane for a subject who was observed entering a construction vehicle that was parked at this location. The accused was confronted by an employee who was working at that location. The accused claimed that he worked for the company and he was moving the vehicle. The employee advised him to get out of the vehicle, which the subject did, but then refused to leave the area. The subject was approached by responding officers and was taken into custody. Mr. Matheo was interviewed by Detectives Orbach and Brady at HQ. Mr. Matheo was charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt Theft, and Obstruction. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute.
