Flash Flood Warning until 01:00AM Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... South central Ashland County in northwestern Wisconsin... Northwestern Price County in north central Wisconsin... Southern Sawyer County in northwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 100 AM CDT.

* At 955 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Park Falls, Chippewa Flowage East, Chippewa Flowage West, Fifield, Butternut, Winter, Radisson, Couderay, New Post, Chief Lake on Chippewa Flowage, Ojibwa, Connors Lake, Reserve, Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, Loretta, Butternut Lake, Blaisdell Lake, Chippewa Lake, Chief Lake, and Lac Courte Oreilles.

* AFFECTED AREAS: PRICE, WI ... ASHLAND, WI ... SAWYER, WI

Instructions:

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
