MET deputies arrested James Webster during a narcotics investigation & K9 Smokey found 20 grams of methamphetamine

SUSPECT: James Webster, 44 years old, resident of Fontana
SUMMARY:
On September 25, 2019 at approximately 12:30 p.m. deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Multiple Enforcement Team(MET) initiated a narcotics investigation. MET identified James Webster, who is currently on Post Release Community Supervision (AB109) for drug sales, as the suspect. MET located Webster driving in the city of Ontario and conducted a traffic stop. Webster was detained without incident. K9 Smokey alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics coming from within Webster’s vehicle. During the subsequent search approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine were found hidden inside of the vehicle.
Webster was booked at the West Valley Detention Center for Transportation of a Controlled Substance and a PRCS Violation.
