Public's help requested in identifying robbery suspect
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for the attempted robbery of a convenient store in the 900 block of Sterling Road. On 8-6-2019, the suspect entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim refused to give the suspect money and instead called 911. The suspect fled in a blue or gray sedan waiting nearby. The suspect was described as a black male, 25 to 32-years-old, approximately 6’3” and 175 pounds.
