9/25 – 4:02 p.m. – Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash, at East Washington and Breese Street. While en route to the crash, police were advised by a citizen that he observed the female driver switch seating positions with a male passenger. Upon arriving at the scene, the officer was advised by another witness that he too observed the subjects switch seating positions. Upon investigating further, it was determined the subjects switched seating positions because the female had a suspended driver’s license and was not to be driving. Brittny D. Kueker, age 27 of Mt. Vernon, was charged with Driving While Suspended & Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Charles A. Gunter, age 39 of Mt. Vernon, was charged with Permitting Unauthorized Person to Drive.
