Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau investigators are continuing their investigation into the findings of human remains by a passerby Monday, September 30, 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m., on the 3300 block of West Avenue I, Lancaster.
 
Detectives have learned that Lancaster Station received a call Tuesday, October 1, 2019, regarding a passerby finding human remains alongside of the highway the day before. Upon their arrival they located the victim who has only been identified as a male adult suffering from possible trauma to the back of the head. The body appeared to have been at the location for several weeks.
 
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. 
 
There is no known motive or suspect information.
 
The identity and cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information available.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to investigate the death of a man. Deputies arrived at the location Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at approximately 10:52 a.m., on West Avenue I & 37th Street, Lancaster.
 
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
