Crime Alert - Off Campus
Attention Rutgers Community:
The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is investigating a robbery which was reported to have occurred on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at approximately 1:50 AM near the intersection of Stone and Prosper Streets.
In this incident the victim, who is affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that he was approached by two male perpetrators that requested change for a one hundred dollar bill. Upon pulling out his wallet, the victim was assaulted by the perpetrators as they removed items of value from him. No weapons were used in this incident and the perpetrators fled the area in an unknown direction. The victim refused further medical attention on scene.
The descriptions of the perpetrators are limited at this time.
The New Brunswick Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the NBPD Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.

• Immediately reporting suspicious activity to local law enforcement;
• Remaining alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you;
• Avoid isolated or dark areas;
• Walking in groups when traveling during late night hours
