Beginning the week of October 7, the parking lot adjacent to The Bistro, Williamston True Value Hardware, and Red Cedar Grill in downtown Williamston will be closed for reconstruction. Reconstruction includes the entire length of the parking lot from the entrance on Grand River Avenue to the entrance on Middle Street. The project will include new curb and gutter, stormwater improvements, and pavement. It is expected to be complete by mid-November, weather dependent.
Public parking is available in the lot of the Williamston United Methodist Church, accessible from Middle Street, on all days except Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
The sidewalk on the north side of Middle Street between Cedar Street and Putnam Street will be closed during construction. The sidewalk on the south side of Middle Street in this block will remain open for pedestrians.
