The Hwy 96E (Murfreesboro Rd) overpass is NOW OPEN.
All I-65 S traffic MUST EXIT onto Murfreesboro Rd, and then re-enter the Interstate from Murfreesboro Rd.
I-65 S traffic, and Murfreesboro Road area traffic is and will remain considerable.

Previously released:
A serious crash that resulted in a fire on the Interstate has closed I-65S between McEwen & Goose Creek Bypass for the foreseeable future.
The 96E (Murfreesboro Rd) overpass is CLOSED both directions until inspectors can confirm that the bridge, which was damaged by the semi, is safe.
Instructions:
Expect major area delays. Consider an I-65 alternate.
