See email/link for winter weather and road condition resources to prepare for the winter season.
With the approaching winter season, Teton County Emergency Management wants to help you prepare with some winter information resources. Please see the attachments for clickable resources to help direct you to the information you need to stay safe this winter. A few reminders for everyone:
- www.wyoroad.info is your source for all state highway condition and closure info. On that site you'll find links to maps, apps, and the 5-1-1 Notify system where you can sign up for email and SMS notifications for the specific highways you care about, during the times you care about them. State Highways include:
- N Highway 89 (highway north out of Jackson)
- S Highway 89 (highway south out of Jackson towards Alpine through Snake River Canyon)
- US 26 (Togwotee Pass)
- Highway 22 (Teton Pass)
- Highway 390 (Teton Village Rd)
- Highway 191 (Hoback Canyon)
- www.weather.gov/riw is your source for weather info, including Winter Storm and Blizzard Watches and Warnings.
- TCincident.org is your source for local Teton County and Town of Jackson emergency information including evacuations, shelter locations, and Town/County road closures.
- www.ready.gov/winter-weather is your source for winter preparedness info.
